Apologies I didn't realise that, I was just going off what was said on twitter No need to apologise mate, I suppose the lack of coverage of his departure by our fans is a testament to the impact he has made over the last two seasons!! But good luck to the lad, was treated pretty poorly by Powell, but he isn't upto championship football (I hope he proves us all wrong as he is an academy product of ours). He is a good chap, does his bit for charity and the stick he gets for selling clothes in his own time is ridiculous. Bye Danny and good luck.

Not disputing your source at all mate.unfortunately he could be right.hes out of contract isn't he? I know mate, be sad to see him go, he's progressed well with us. Is was James nursey I think, the midlands football correspondent for the mirror so don't know why he's be commenting on us, and it is the mirror..! I have heard it from other sources though and seen it on here. Let's just hope he doesn't leave! Bugger!!!!looks like your source was correct........bit gutted about this one to be honest

This thread is becoming a parody We have just lost one of our most consistent players to the mighty Bolton Wanderers over ten bob a week extra...and people are speculating about us signing Scott Parker I don't know but I think it is a lot more than ten bob a week extra. Most footballers are mercenary, there are some that are more loyal. All this kissing of badges and professing your love of the Club is largely Bullshit. I commented at the time that allowing so many players contracts to run out together ran the risk of losing players like Dervite, Morrison etc. The new owner is slashing the wage bill at Charlton. Which makes us unable to compete with most other Championship Clubs for ordinary players like Dervite. I fully expect us to get more network players who are not good enough, push through more youngsters. Bring in some cheaper permanent signings from abroad and the lower leagues here. We got away with it last Season but without some serious investment now, we are doomed to failure, whoever the new Coach is.

Its not wholly accurate though.. It has Chris Solly but he is tied down for a while and Dervite is missing.

Hi lads hope you're all having a good summer! Mine should be an interesting one with the football who's going who's not, but more so am waiting for a selection date for the army will keep you all posted! Sorry to go off subject but in terms of signings I've seen tommy Rowe peterborough club captain has left on a free, very good player and consistent who I believe could make the jump! Anybody else believe worth a shout?

Agree 100% Brett Rowe is a very good player, it would be a big plus if we could get him on board with Orlandi.

I agree with Brett, Rowe would be a great signing and there will be a lot of competition for him for him. If we show an interest we need to make an offer that will close many doors in terms of other clubs.

Yannis Mbombo Lokwa
A 20 year old Belgian striker who is a product of Liege's youth system is being linked on Twitter, by one account supposedly set up by CAFC supporting journos.
Very inexperienced, so not the player everybody hopes for, but fits the RD bill.

Sounds about right for what we are going to get! Also reams wouldn't cost a fee so would suit the bill for cafc! Would be a very good addition to the squad and still relatively young and hungry!

Are you on Crack? 'Would be a very good addition'? No it would be a very poor addition and would show RD's hand to all the doubting CAFC fans. Let's hope it is just a rumour and nothing more comes of it, we need experienced ENGLISH (or English based) players who have a real desire to play at the top level!

I have to agree with you at this moment in time I'm un impressed by the total lack of urgency to keep our best players or to appoint a manager be it Riga or whoever. How are the players supposed to resign contracts when they are not sure who they will be playing under.Still early days but early bird catches the worm .
