Said on another thread the defender should of launched that ball into row Z. Safety first danger gone even if he had a shout from the keeper. or Isted could have taken 1 touch and launched it up field himself. Nothing wrong with the pass. Isted still looks decent in my eyes. He cocks up and it costs us a goal. May misses an easy header but he’s not being blamed. Same thing

Jeeeezus, let it go. Every player in history has made a bad mistake or two. Move on, nothing to see here

Jury is out tonight on whether he was at fault for Cheltenham's goal. My first thoughts were the geezer had far to much time to get the shot away and his mate was first to react to the save but again we should have been quicker closing down.
That said I looked at the replay after the game and the save should have been gathered and not paried so maybe there is question marks surroundinmg Harry but I still think he is better than AMB so NJ has a big call to make.

My call last September was that both keepers should be given a chance this season but ultimately one should be replaced with what is now termed "elite". Nothing has changed that view, but those errors are certainly not rare in League One. Just look at the Cheltenham defender slipping in the edge of their box to gift the ball to Small who squared to May.

Dillon Phillips in the summer anyone? He’ll be league one again next season and possibly still on the Rotherham bench

I’m pretty sure it’s over for him after his latest gaffe today - he’s got to be saving the Cambridge goal 🤦♂️
It will be interesting to see if Nathan Jones wants to take a look at Maynard Brewer in the final couple of games, before hopefully moving both of our keepers on this summer.
We need better next season.

I don’t know enough about what is out there, but I wouldn’t mind us getting either Ben Hamer or Dillon Phillips back as our No.1 this summer. Both are miles better than the two we have got.

Jeez I have calmed down a bit now after yesterday but Isted was really poor and we need a more commanding keeper who will come for crosses and dominate his area…..Those long throws caused us problems as we had neither a keeper or CB dominant enough to come and clear so we always look vulnerable
Isted neither dominates his area or makes routine stops like the one yesterday, I’ve been saying all season that other clubs regardless whether they are Pompey or Carlisle do not gift the sort of goals that we have consistently all season, this has killed us and NJ I would think has come to the end of his tether over this issue
I can see AMB or Isted moving on in the summer and the other staying as a number two, also I think Hector and Thomas will be released and Ness sent out on a season loan with us bringing in at least two quality centre backs including one being experienced and captain matierial

After yesterday that has to include Isted, Hector and Terrible. That’s not “slating players” copywrite Kevin, it’s about having ambition and passion for the club and wanting us out of this league.

Chances are that any player at Ipswich will be on a minimum of £10k a week if they go up. If he has long on his contract he could be very expensive.

Agree that money always talks KHA but players, especially goalkeepers want to be playing week in week out and that is always a good incentive….Walton is an example of a keeper far too good to be getting splinters in his backside every Saturday afternoon

I like a commanding keeper, who comes out for crosses and catches the ball. Maybe i am wrong but Istead doesn't instill me with confidence, a bit of a flapper.

I'm not an Isted fan , decent shot saver on his day . Not brave or commanding enough and prone to the mare. Distribution Meh!
A promotion team needs a strong spine and that starts in goal.

Chances are that any player at Ipswich will be on a minimum of £10k a week if they go up. If he has long on his contract he could be very expensive. One of the reasons that I've been singing Walton's praises for weeks is that he's out of contract in the summer. Ipswich (but not the player) do have the option of an additional year, but their fans think they will let him leave to be first choice elsewhere (even if they don't go up) as he's too good to be a benchwarmer. Given that (a) his first three years as a professional (aged 17-20) were at Brighton where NJ was first team coach, (b) he was NJ's first summer signing as Luton boss, (c) Ipswich conceded less goals than any L1 team of the past two years (35) whilst he played every minute of last season - this season every L1 team has already let in 37+, and (d) his Christian name is literally 'Christian'... ...I can't see any way Walton isn't first choice on our gaffer's goalkeeper shortlist for next season.

How about trying to get Jed Steer again?.. on loan at Posh.. I’m sure he did well for us before getting badly injured..
