Walking off the pitch is giving in to these scum. Yes, it will split opinions but I tend to agree. How long before supporters get a game abandoned like this, if they are losing. Abandoning the game punishes everyone, and ruins if for the fans. If it is a group of fans in one area, as it was in Bulgaria, then throw them all out, although I appreciate how difficult that could be to enforce if it’s individuals that are spread out. Something will have to be done to stop this snowballing now, and it’s going to be difficult. Some people can’t be educated, and it’s a massive ask to try and change a country’s culture. |

Yes, another disgusting event that brings shame to the football fraternity. But why does this Neanderthal behaviour only happen at football grounds? From what I can judge football is the only sport affected by this behaviour - if I’m wrong, please correct me - why? Yet again the game we all love is sullied by the actions of mindless idiots just as it was/is by hooliganism and thuggish behaviour in the 70s and 80s.
I really hope that no one supporting our club will ever stoop as low as the “fans” of Yeovil did today.

This situation is open to abuse. If a team were losing in a major game ie would get relegated if they lost then whats to stop them walking off the pitch calling racist abuse...
This has the potential to ruin football if teams start walking off the pitch...

How can a human being have hatred towards another human being because the colour of their skin. I know that sounds naive but I really don't get it!

I agree that abandoning matches injures everyone. I do think there needs to be some sort of strict and damaging penalty, though. I'm open to suggestions for what that might be.
