Seems, this lad needs to work harder?. The boy is so talented, and should be playing higher than this..

Probably the best loan currently available for him I think, as League clubs not an option now. Will give him some game time in a competitive league, and more beneficial that just ticking along in our U23 team. Hopefully it will help his development.

Yes I agree he certainly is talented, and I’m surprised he never got a loan in league one or two. He’s at an age where he needs to be pushing on now, not just playing U 23. Maybe he will get a chance in January if some our loans are recalled or injured.

Not sure why he was allowed to go out on loan in the first place, especially to a level he is far to good for but either way he should be recalled and feature on the bench on Saturday at West Brom.

Could even start Saturday if recalled Gallagher, Kayal, Cullen, Pratley. Would only make bench if he was...

Don't what to start a conspiracy theory here but I'm sorry there is more to the Albie Morgan loan than meets the eye.
He was a stand out performer in L1 last season then all of a sudden he is shipped out to a struggling National league side?
Morgan is more than capable of playing at Championship level, L1 or L2 at a push is the lowest standard he should be playing in.
On top of all that it emerges this morning that we have no recall option which I find astonishing to be honest.
Something has clearly gone on in my opinion for him to go from one of last season's rising stars to where he is now at.

I don’t know mate, but it was reported at the end of the last window, that no league one or league two clubs had come in for him, which surprised me . His only option therefore was non league, but I agree, he is a lot better than that. If we get any more injuries in midfield, he will be needed back at the club.

I don’t imagine any ‘one month’ loan deal would have a recall option.
I’m am surprised no one wanted him on loan in L1 or 2. Maybe they did but we didn’t know what we had in terms of squad until too late in the day?

Just been delving a bit more into this and yes I hadn't realised that it was only a 28 day loan and that he would be back with us on November 7th anyway. I thought he had joined them for teh rest of the season. www.cafc.co.uk/news/view/5d9f3f30bd9c3/albie-morgan-joins-ebbsfleet-united-on-loan

Therefore he will be back at the end of the month!

He likes his ability but he won't feature for us until his work rate improves.

Played five full games for Ebbsfleet. Steve Gallen said Albie ‘loves it there’ and ‘is playing regularly’. Shame he couldn’t have stayed longer. Same goes for Alfie Doughty who was recalled from Bromley at the end of October after a successful loan spell.

I hope Albie is given some minutes to try to impress now he has been recalled, there is no point in him just sitting on the bench. Our diminished midfield options at the moment may just give him an opportunity
.It will be interesting to see the line up on Saturday if LT is available, maybe Leko will revert to a wide midfielder, with Bonne keeping his place up front.
As a side issue, touching on Mundell’s post above, I wonder if Doughty can stake a claim as back up to Purrington, with Page seemingly never available.

I think it’ll do him good to go out on loan. Even though I think he’s better than those leagues. There’s a lot to learn from them. It will be a physical battle which will help Albie I think.
Both Dempsey and Davison could do with more experience. Davison might have to stick around though in case we have injuries again to Bonne and Lyle!

Standard in the National League is very good these days. Pitches are usually decent too. A spell at one of the top eight sides might be very good experience for some of our young players. Bromley if the club is looking close to home or a Notts County, for example, if a move further afield is seen as desirable.

I think next season we need to commit to Morgan and Dougherty. Even if it stalls us out a bit.
