Decided to push the boat out and got £80 pound tickets. Bought online very easy. I always had you down as a royalist Dick - at that price I assume you are sitting in the royal box at that price! 😜 We are in one of the ‘singing’ areas right behind the goal. I think I may take some ear defenders just in case I’m beside our drummer 😉

An absolute disgusting system they have got for the tickets for the final. At this rate they will not make general sale. The best one is on Monday....... Any members on the database can purchase a maximum of 6 tickets!!! Will make general sale

Yeah I think this is a poor system- letting people grab up to 6 at a time. There won’t be many left for general sale to the peasants like me who don’t have a season ticket. And before you say it: I can’t get one as I work most weekends.

The online system wasn't bad at all. Set up with a queuing facility that stops it crashing I expect. Bit fiddly on a tablet, but got our six tickets in 238 block. Nice stereo Cants did you purchase 6 or 12? 🤣🤣🤣

I already have a spare single ticket. Block 133, row 27 seat 318. I know they're still on sale, but this is in a designated singing block. Just let me know if anyone wants it...

What's a designated singing block? Can't you sing wherever you sit?

The designated singing areas are Blocks 133 and 134 and anyone wishing to take flags or musical instruments has to get Wembley’s permission🤪 You couldn’t make it up.

My mate, who is also a season ticket holder purchased my ticket therefore does that mean I can buy 4 tickets with my season ticket?

Decided to push the boat out and got £80 pound tickets. Bought online very easy. Same here Dick. Went to the Brentford v Yeovil play-off final and wasn't overly impressed with the behind goal experience. So, I've gone for the very front row of the 2nd tier, I think level with the penalty area.
Went online and by 9.07am, I had my tickets.
I know some people have had a harder time getting tickets but I must say that for all three play-off games, it's been easy for me (so far....I haven't actually got the ticket in my hand yet!) So, thank you Ticket Office....keep up the good work!

If anyone has a spare I could purchase before Sunday I would be ultra appreciative. Would go as far as buying the seller a drink on the day. If they can stand supping with a Yorkshireman. 😁

I'm not sure why anyone still books by phone. How many people do you think the club, or any club, has sitting by the phone in the ticket office these days? It's no surprise that it takes hours to get through, yet Facebook, Twitter and this forum, is littered with people thinking it's alright to slate the club down to the ground (less so on here) because they can't get through. Yeah, no shit. Upwards of 13,000 tickets sold yesterday, it's no surprise you can't get through on the phone.
I overslept yesterday morning, so didn't get online as early as I wanted. I queued to get onto the ticketing website (good idea by the way, stops it from crashing) for half an hour. Five minutes later, I had my tickets. There were over 1,000 people in the queue ahead of me.
There is far greater scope for booking vast numbers online at the same time. If you haven't got tickets yet due to the restrictions, make sure you book via the website rather than phone. It'll save you a lot of time and a lot of stress.

Any members on the database can purchase a maximum of 6 tickets!!! Totally agree mate, Charlton Athletic Ticket Office, the gift that just keeps on giving. The touts are going to have a field day. Quick question. What’s the difference between them going on general sale or them being sold to people, that qualify for general sale, before hand? I only ask as if all of those that qualify were able to buy one ticket each, and let’s assume that they had to show id to make sure they, actually, attend, it would be a scramble and there’s no guarantee that the tickets would end up anywhere else is there? I mean if there were 30,000 tickets when it went on general sale those that get in first would get all the tickets, or, maybe they’d all only be allowed to buy one ticket, in which case most fans would have to sit on their own. I would be able to understand if they allowed a very small group to buy ten tickets each but there has to be some reward for those that ‘fund’ the club. For those on here that can’t attend games you could take out a Valley Gold subscription that would give you the same priority as a season ticket holder, would it not? I think it’s just as unreasonable, if not more so, for those that never go and don’t, financially, support the club to complain when they miss out on a big game than it is for the club to reward those that do support the club. They even allowed for both 2018/19 AND 2019/20 season ticket holders to get priority. I suspect that everyone that wants to go will get a ticket, but the qualification for these games has not changed much in twenty years so I don’t see how anyone can be surprised and, therefore, annoyed if they miss out.

If you haven't got tickets yet due to the restrictions, make sure you book via the website rather than phone. It'll save you a lot of time and a lot of stress. Couldn’t agree more. The club’s ticketing system has worked very well. The investment in it and in the new turnstiles, without which the ‘print at home’ option wouldn’t have been available for Friday’s game, has really paid off. It would all have been an order of magnitude more complicated and much less effective in the days when CARD’s head of propaganda was directly involved in ticket sales as an employee of the club!! I tried to login just before 9am yesterday morning and the message was that I’d be randomly given a place in the queue when the system opened at 9am. I was allocated a number over 3,000 and given a waiting time of an hour, which turned out to be about forty minutes. However, the waiting time was constantly updated and it was made clear you had up to twenty minutes once you were in the system. This meant that I was able to do other things while I waited, i.e. I didn’t have to sit at my desktop. Once in the system, I was able to select a block, row and seats. I needed four tickets together (for me and three other season ticket holders) and by the time I was in the system it was not possible to get them together in Block 123, but Block 124 was virtually empty so that’s where we’ll be. It all strikes me as being very impressive.

Any members on the database can purchase a maximum of 6 tickets!!! Totally agree mate, Charlton Athletic Ticket Office, the gift that just keeps on giving. The touts are going to have a field day. On this occasion many will disagree. Yesterday 6,000 fans who backed the club before the start of the season had priority. Was surprised we could buy up to four as two seemed reasonable but they want to shift the tickets. The club just announced 13,000 sold by the end of day so more than 20,000 left. Today, those with 100 loyalty points Or ten games can buy - no idea how many fans in that group but guessing another 6,000? If you haven't been to ten games supporting the lads throughout the season then why should you get priority over those who have? Especially those who have boycotted and/or spent the whole season bitching about CAFC! We had an extra 12,000 the other night so it would be fantastic if they can all get tickets to cement a bond with the club... but there's only a few days, not two weeks to shift the tickets. So there's no way to ensure tickets sold and posted on time AND that fans who go occasionally can all go. Mundell comments on the simplicity of process and we found it much quicker when logging in around midday. No idea what sales are like now but look like we will sell 36,000 in three or four days. That's a pretty good system.

I appreciate that there is no way to keep everyone happy . I have always said that ST and VG rightly get priority also , but I just think 4 tickets each is too many . Many ST holders go to games together anyway, as I and my sons did for many years until recently.
That would have given us 12 tickets that might have gone to friends or relatives who never attend Charlton games normally , thereby causing regular fans that can’t have a ST for their own reasons , to miss out .
And no , I don’t think that the extra 10 thousand who decided to turn up or break there boycott on Friday night , for the first time this season , should get a ticket for the final , just because they have a mate with a season ticket .

Sorted mine on Saturday morning (block 126) and thought the whole system was fairly simple. I went to the England vs Croatia game last year and sat literally second row from the back in the upper tier and the view was still great.
