Automatic: Luton and Barnsley
Play-offs: It’s too close to call, but probably Sunderland

That’s as it stands, hopefully our forms improves and everyone around us drops and we get one of those spots, but hard to see that at present

Luton and Barnsley for automatic promotion. Wembley final Charlton vs Sunderland 21 years after the last one! I'd happily have that as long as it's the same outcome as before! I think Sunderland and Luton will get automatic though. Play off winners could be anyone. Depends on form at the time

It would be Luton and Barnsley for me.
What I find most frustrating is that on 2 or 3 occasions now we have battled to get within a few points of the top 2 and we've blown it each time. We've got to stop losing games if we are going to hang on to the play offs.

Anybody’s guess, obviously. If we combine current league table positioning with Experimental 3-6-1’s analysis of expected goals, Luton will win the title with Barnsley just ahead of Portsmouth who’ll finish third.
Portsmouth (or Barnsley) will then play sixth place Doncaster in the playoff semifinal. They’ll be expected to win that and will play the winner of Sunderland v Charlton in the final!!

For what its worth, I think Luton and Sunderland automatic.
Charlton v. Barnsley in the playoffs, with a full squad Charlton nicking it! COYR

Looks like it's between Luton, Barnsley & Sunderland for the top two, although there seems to be a few strange results.
We're now looking much more healthy in the playoffs.

Kudos to all you guys who tipped Luton . I thought they might have a good season , but not as good as they have . They are looking good to go up as champions , so a big well done to all at LTFC , and you guys who called it right .

Bit too early to call it I think Oldred , see where they are at 5pm on 13th April after they’ve not won any of their previous 4 games.. 😉

Without seeing every clubs fixtures it's hard to predict but my gut feeling is Sunderland will finish second behind Luton and I think it will be Portsmouth V Charlton and Barnsley V Coventry in the play-offs and I think Coventry will play Charlton in the final at Wembley.

Us losing to Sunderland at Wembley would have a certain poetry to it from their perspective, but I actually think they'll go up automatically.
I reckon we'll end up playing Barnsley in the final when, as we know, anything could happen. Based on the season so far you would have to make them slight favourites in that scenario.

Sunderland have what looks like a much tougher run in than Barnsley. Doesn't mean that they will not catch them, and all the teams at the bottom (and from about 13th downwards are in a relegation scrap this season) will start picking up points. However you are tight to say that it's difficult to call. Sunderland are 2 points behind with a game in hand and they are averaging 1.97 paints per game this season. They have also both won two and drawn three of their last five games. At least it's exciting!

The best three........ As I have said before we will be there or thereabouts. I also said that Sunderland were our biggest threat and they still are. Despite many of the half glass empty brigade on here moaning - its been a reasonably good season for us so far. Not a great one but a good one just the same and if everything goes to plan we will be playing Palace next season.

One of the few seasons where I can remember enjoying the vast majority of our home games. We haven't seen too many duff displays.
