BB the keeper they are signing in the next 24 hours is Lovre Kalinic, who plays for Gent in Belgium. He is Croatian not Belgian, he just plays in the Belgian league.
Good progress has been made and he is set to become Dean Smith’s first signing.

Peterborough United have agreed in principle to re-sign Cardiff City forward Lee Tomlin on loan for the rest of the season, from 1 January.

He was injured.
SL: “Tom (Eaves) is injured. He tweaked a thigh in the shooting drill we did on Tuesday and we didn’t want to risk him today. Hopefully he will be fine for Boxing Day.”

Lee Bowyer and his team have achieved the almost impossible so far this season. I fully expect Charlton to brush aside Coventry City on Boxing Day. If they do, it will be 8 wins from 9 games. That is automatic promotion form.
RD is now faced with a choice he probably did not expect. He does not have to invest heavily - or even at all - in strengthening the squad in January, to give Charlton a realistic chance of promotion. Thanks to LB we already have that chance. All Duchatelet needs to do is leave the squad alone.
To me, the only player who currently looks likely to leave regardless of outside interest is Patrick Bauer. If Bauer is the only decent player we lose in this transfer window, I would say Charlton still have a 50/50 chance of winning promotion. That is an astonishing thing to say right now; I never would have believed it back in August.
If however an offer comes in for Joe Aribo and/or Karlan Grant and one or both of them are sold, I think that will make LB's task much harder in the last four months of the season. Losing those players and Bauer would probably end all hope of automatic promotion, and even make finishing above 5th place very difficult.
True we may make one or two loan signings - getting Jay Dasilva back for instance would be a big help, once he gets up to match sharpness. But basically the Club's future will be for RD to decide in January, and without him having to gamble a lot of money.
Please just leave the squad alone Roland, and get a few new contracts sorted out. Lee Bowyer has proved now (as far as I am concerned anyway) that he is capable of doing the rest of the job.

We definitely need to get a striker in, as likely that at least one of Taylor/Grant will pick up another injury before the season is out. Hopefully Bowyer can get the right player in.

I have two players in mind for January and both would mean that we go up automatically.
Last season's L1 top scorer Mark McNulty cannot get into a poor Reading side and Otzumer has fallen out of favour at Bolton, no longer a regular starter.
Loan bids for these wouldn't go a miss at all.

Apparently deal is done according to people at Gillingham and Saturday was a smokescreen why he did'nt play and he don't want to move his family and he lives next to Charlton training ground.

It states Charlton value Ajose at £1,000,000, that says it all really.
Move on.

He wants to go back North, doesn't he? I'd like to see hm sign, but he'd only be a plan B for us. Why would he only be a plan B? He's scored more than Taylor and Grant to be fair to him. I've only seen Eaves play 3 times. I've thought he looks good, and I'd be delighted if we sign him. But he doesn't fit in with the style of play we currently have, and would be a replacement for Ajose rather than Taylor or Grant. We've got two strikers in double figures before Christmas. Therefore we either change completely the way we play or we use Eaves to disrupt games when we're not doing well with the footballing approach. There's nothing negative with a plan B, and it might end up as plan A when we play teams who defend deep behind the ball. Let's see what the window brings.
