I've heard a few rumbling s but like I said on Sunday Curbs was at the game with Varney on Sunday and when we equalised the big screen went on him celebrating with at least two suited middle Eastern guys. I thought someone had said/predicted they were the betdaq owners? I thought Dermot sold BETDAQ to Ladbrokes few years ago , but I may be wrong...

I thought Betdaq was an irish firm? In today’s cosmopolitan world, it’s entirely possible an Irish firm could have employees of middle-eastern origin. Indeed, they may even be Irish!! 😎

Yep they certainly didn't look like Gravesend born and bred I'm not up to date but isn't the huge Ebsfleet development including theme park, hotels and the like in the construction stage. I vaguely recall that middle eastern money was involved which could be the connection with Reg & Curbs. A big if - IF this is true I can't imagine that Bows & his staff would not be retained. Now Paul I'm going to give you a rollicking for building up unfounded optimism on the forum me included

Ravi Patel is the guy next to Curbs. Definitely not him buying the club
Paramount park was being developed by Kuwaitis but his family have cut the guy’s funding off hence the development is in chaos and players aren’t getting paid at Ebbsfleet.

It definitely wasn't Patel I saw, they were well dressed wearing suits, collar and ties, not Charlton club ties.

Ok I have managed to find this picture from Sunday afternoon. The guy to Curbs' right IS commercial manager Ravi Patel but the guy to his left is the guy I saw on the big screen along with one other who was standing next to him but isn't in this shot.

The gentleman to Curbishley's left is Hollywood film star, Adam Driver. Good pals with Curbs.

The present reality is that Duchatelet is our owner, the costs of his ownership are corralled into huge debt, and the management and half the players are off the books in a few weeks which saves Duchatelet a few bob. Given past history there is nothing more than hope and rumour, and the reality is we carry on under the Duchatelet/Driesen 2% dream team. Of course the question is 'if not now, when?. But as time trickles away, the debt mounts, the hope dies. At the start Of the season I was berated on here for saying more of less the same thing, and those critics insisted we would be sold imminently. It didn't happen. When there is the absurdity of the absentee owner demanding the EFL buy the club on what basis is there any hope that current success can be built on? We have all been here before haven't we?

At the start Of the season I was berated on here for saying more of less the same thing Really? Unlike you to repeat yourself , webbo. You usually come up with something fresh and original to say...
Did you predict at the start of the season that we would have one of our most enjoyable and succesful campaigns, culminating in a Wembley final and a richly deserved promotion?
I wasn't around at the start of the season and missed the post if you did....
We may be a "shell of a club" and "bring shame on the whole of English football" (both statements © CARD/CAST/VOTV/Charlton Life). But it was one helluva great season...
Who knows what life in the championship holds for us? But I'm sure there will be plenty more thrills and spills to keep us singing and dancing!

At the start of the season I hoped, not predicted, that we would average 2 points a game which we nearly brilliantly managed. Bowyer and others marshalled our resources fantastically well again st the background of mounting debt no effective line management, the sale of Grant and the 'demands' to the EFL. Maybe it is because of that background that Bowye r did so well. Either way a minor miracle happened and personally I am thrilled. Bowye r
