Isn't this the crackpot who said he was going to reclaim the away end or something? I heard that American singer and actress Cher is deep in negotiations with Roland. She Believes that she is Strong Enough to turn the club back into a Super Trouper and that After All the Belgian has put us through, I Found Someone who really cares. If I Could Turn Back Time, Cher would have been at the helm in our heady premiership days. Her Love and Understanding will put an end to this once and for all. Hopefully it'll get rid of all the Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves at our club. Cher, I Got You Babe. (I'll believe there's a takeover when it's announced on the club website.) He's nothing but an attention seeker.

Here we go again zzzzzzzzzzz You know you can opt to not read this thread... I saw there were fresh rumours of "EFL test passed" and "meetings" but personally I'm just waiting for the "Done Deal" before really believing any of it. My hearts like: "It's Happening!!!" My minds like: "Pfft, believe it once it's confirmed"
Well i am in the wiggy camp " it's fucking boring!"

Holding my hand up, it was dumb to tweet anything under the circumstances. I’m one of those optimists who always thinks the light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer, mainly through wishful thinking. I suppose. I think the fact that Keith Harris was behind the info is what got me going. It’s the hope that kills you.

It's not a contradiction though. Until there is a deal, no deal exists. Harris can say what he wants, fact is they have been running around with blinkers on for 18 months.

RD ceasing to be the owner is getting closer, that is a undisputable fact.

So not only are they sponging all over Australia and North America for cash, they now need somebody with a good reputation to get them through a fit and proper person's test. When is the penny going to drop that all they are is a bunch of no marks with nothing going for them. Who in the right mind would want these cowboys running thew club ffs, they have nothing going for them??

Not sure how accurate this is but I heard on Wednesday that an as yet unnamed group approached at least one of the former directors that are still owed returns on loans made to the club previously. There was mention of British involvement but no more than that. Whether they are at an advanced stage I don't know. The current owner will always be a hard hurdle to negotiate, but if contact is made with the old directors then maybe some headway has been made. Thanks for the update angeldust That’s interesting. I remain puzzled though by the significance attached by some to the loans outstanding to a number of former directors. These are contingent liabilities, payable only on promotion to the Premier League, and while their existence means that a new owner would not have ‘clean title’ that should only be a concern if the buyer wishes to execute some kind of asset play. It’s not at all obvious to me, therefore, why a prospective owner would feel the need to ‘sound out’ or ‘chat up’ one or more of these individuals. Be very helpful if you could shed some light on this conundrum. Thanks in advance if you are able to do so.

No .... said they have not passed it yet If they have not passed the test then they have obviously failed the test unless they have not submitted themselves for the test. There is no group because they still havn't found anyone with the required funds and some have lost interest anyway a long time ago. Stop keeping something going which isn't.

Muir is still a backer, but has never been seriously involved in the negotiations. He’s been told to be vague to the press, just to keep them at arms length. People have repeatedly come up with this Muir has pulled out line, but it’s never been true. But as Reams said, nothing has concluded yet, and until it does anything is possible.

Mr Muir is sitting at home about 15 miles outside Melbourne quietly getting on with his life. He has plenty of other things he is doing at the moment but one of them is not worrying about the takeover of Charlton.
