Great news!
Hope he can find the same kind of form that he had at the beginning of his Charlton career.

That is great news indeed....
On a separate injury note it’s interesting that JFC is scheduled for surgery on his ACL next week , nearly 7 weeks after injuring it , I thought he would of had his op by now , must of been other damage done as I’m sure 2/3 weeks after is the norm...

This is very good news since he will become available as others clock up niggles and suspensions. We have a large number of capable midfielders for this level - far more than we had under Slade two years back. We absolutely need more midfield options on the bench since we are playing a fairly intense, pacy game on the ground. Bow and JJ need to be able to change things on the hour mark - worked last Saturday with Reeves just coming back.

Brilliant, from what I hear Clarke has been absolutely grafting to get fit.

Good news , Billy was a big miss for us , and arguably looked one of our best players before he was injured . Looking forward to seeing him back , the competition for places is getting stronger .

Ah this is great news. Clarke was one of our best players before his injury. Clearly he will take a little time to get match fit again, but providing we don't rush things and he can stay fit, he will be a real asset. Bowyer is going to have to start thinking hard about his squad selection in some areas, which is obviously a great thing.

Bowyer is going to have to start thinking hard about his squad selection in some areas, which is obviously a great thing. Clarke was part of KR's new look midfield this time last year which had an extraordinary start. Whether it was his injury or other factors which led to a decline around November is a matter for discussion. The fact is that we went eight or nine games without a win. As you state, on paper Bowyer has a very strong squad in midfield when they are all (or mostly) available. Next week Fosu will be back from suspension. Let's see how it goes up until Christmas - if we are better than last season then that has to be progress.

Billy's back!!!
Billy Clarke has resumed full-contact training from today. The former Bradford City attacker had cruciate knee ligament surgery last season.
Lee Bowyer said on Thursday: “He trained last week but it had to be a splitter – no-contact – but he got through that,” said Bowyer. “It is going to take him a while to get back to where he was. But at least he is back now training and allowed contact. That’s another plus.”

Great news , I know we're not short of midfielders, but I think he does offer something different to the others . Nice selection problem for LB soon .

Best part of yesterday was seeing him back out there. A huge loss and fingers crossed will stay fit between now and the end of the season.

Really good to have Billy Clarke back.
I liked his movement, nous and technical ability last season but thought he looked a bit lightweight in front of goal. Would be great if he, Reeves and Fosu could start scoring regularly (their respective records suggest they are capable).

Top of the diamond behind Taylor and Grant could greatly increase our attacking prowess and T&G could be looking at 20 goal seasons!

Top of the diamond behind Taylor and Grant could greatly increase our attacking prowess and T&G could be looking at 20 goal seasons! Taylor and Grant have certainly maintained a goal a game with a wide variety of midfield combinations in support so 40+ goals is certainly possible. Not sure how long it will take for Clarke to regain match fitness and find his form - but certainly he adds to midfield options for the rest of the season. And if we make adjustments in the January window, perhaps 3-5-2 or 4-2-3-1 become options? Whatever the formation, it can be argued that we have the best spine to our side since relegation? Adding Bielik, Pratley, Taylor, Cullen and Lapslie to that spine looks like it has made a difference when we play well. But, as we all know, we have lacked consistency. Perhaps Clarke starting on the bench can contribute to consistency? Can he assist in covering for the absence of Cullen as per latest interview or is that an accident waiting to happen? Time will tell.
