Not even kicked a ball, and in true Charlton tradition, the moaning has started. We can always rely on Royston.....

It is a punt, but we were crying out for a big unit up there last season. It's pleasing we've addressed this. But, for every Peter Crouch or Lacina Traore, there's a Stefan Maierhofer.
I'm sure we'll sign a fourth striker and if that's the case I'd like it to be a proven Championship goalscorer, or possibly a promising young loanee, like James Wilson.

Absolutely delighted with this signing which shows good intent... An international who knows where the goal is and offers an alternative from what we have... Unproven? As far as I'm concerned, most new players are unproven in each team's system but if the quality is there then that's a start... Welcome to the valley Makienok and best of luck, hope your goal scoring or assists give me goosebumps this season ?

Talks well and I think that he is going to be a bit of a powerhouse for us!

They all seem relaxed and the new boys have fitted in pretty well

Simon Makienok; 35 Championship appearances this season wearing a Charlton Athletic shirt, 5 goals scored. 1 goal in every 7 games; nowhere near good enough. It's a good thing he's not our player. We'd really be in trouble now if he was, wouldn't we?

For a tall player at 6' 7", I thought that he would score a lot of goals with his head, but he didn't, he struggled to win most heading duels. Five goals in thirty five appearances is a poor return from a striker of his stature, who was too easily knocked off the ball by opposition defenders. He is not suited to English football and therefore is best that he moves on, possibly back to Denmark. I'm sure Palermo wont want him.

It would be so much fun if Bexley/Colin answered back to his fans responses.
