A journalist on twitter has tweeted that we are signing Danish striker Simon Makienok on loan from Palermo.

Scared he may be a Bendtner wannabe

Regarding Makienko I don't know much about him does anyone know him from his Bronby days? 6 ft 7 striker is he just our version of Maierhofer

Assuming we definitely are after both Makienok and Kramer, I assume this means we are no longer interested in Baptiste Guillaume from Lens, that you've mentioned several times previously? Unless we're looking at letting one of Watt or Vetokele go, presumably Igor?

The RC Lens situation is a strange one at the moment and I am watching it closely on a daily basis here www.lensois.com/Because of their enforced wage cap they cannot possibly hold on to the three players that RD was interested in so I expect them to leave soon. I know Baptiste Guillaume is almost 6ft 3" so I was spot on in terms of us looking for a tall striker or two but as you rightly say if Kramer and Makienhok are being looked at I can't see Baptiste coming too, maybe he'll go to Standard Liege who are still interested in Yattara from Lyon. I expect M'Poku who I spoke about yesterday to join Genoa. It's a shame about Baptiste really because I really rate him and he's only 20 but as I said the situation at Lens is a difficult one because they did not know what league they would be playing in a week ago and everything is still a bit up in the air there, perhaps are people want our business done sooner than Lens will have theirs and we have decided not to wait around at this moment in time?.

It's great to hear we are looking at options with possibly two more strikers coming in. This is an obvious gap in the squad together with retaining Bulot and getting a replacement for Buyens. Very hard to know whether the Championship will be easier or harder than last time but I sense we will be better?

I have seen two different clips of him now and although I am quite excited both by his goals and his ability to hold up and lay of a ball ( and boy do we need that ) I am slightly concerned he could be another L..... No I can't say it, it upsets to many and I wouldn't want to do that

Do we know if it's with view to a permanent move?

Think he has a lot more to his game than Leaburn to be honest, he looks a powerful player who can use both feet and strong in the air.
Leaburn had a job standing on his feet and couldn't trap a bag of cement!!

Well done to the club for getting this over the line....he's just signed! Harvey's Gardener won't be happy as he is underwhelmed by him! ....Err...his goal ratio as a Professional footballer is one goal in every two games! Just the type of player who would have our scouts leaving in their droves eh! harveys gardener said: Underwhelmed by the Dane. Gutted we didn't get Ciftci for £1m. No wonder our scouts are leaving in droves, Rolands guys have no idea. Even Ackworth could mirror their success rate. COYR

News Shopper Sport @newsshoppersprt 3m3 minutes ago Vetokele, Watt and Makienok - looks like goals will not be a problem for #cafc next season.
News Shopper Sport @newsshoppersprt 1m1 minute ago Wouldn't be surprised if those attacking options were strengthened more #cafc

A 5/10 signing,in my opinion.
Its good to get another striker in, albeit one hugely unproven in this country. Its a punt. We need a Jim Melrose/Darren Bent -type striker IMO. One who is guaranteed to get you 15-20 goals with the right supply of chances. We saw last season that Igor is not that man (unless the season ends in October of course) and Watt, for all of his attributes, isn't a goal scorer.
Given that Duchatelet is buried deep in £50 notes following the stupid sale of Gomez, how about he re-invests with the likes of David Nugent from Leicester, or Glenn Murray from Palace? Both are proven scorers at Championship level.
Better still, both would be signings that might enthuse the fans, rather than getting them thumbing thru the European Rothmans yearbook.

Joe Garner would have been the man or somebody like him. De Sutter is similar to Melrose in many ways, not much pace but knows where the goal is.
