A couple of tweets about how they are going to come across and cause a bit of trouble.
I can see it now leg blankets and coffee flasks flying through the air in all directions!!
Why do Charlton always hide when Millwall pay us a visit? There are some wannabee hard men on line, you only have to look at CL for that, but in all my years as a Charlton fan I have only ever seen a bit of a turn out and that was at Carlisle in 2012.

Millwall have come unstuck against us the last few seasons and they keep saying they're gonna come and turn us over ect but yet to see it.

Well that's good to read, where do the fisticuffs normally take place when they come to us?

in the nil nil game years back when shaun Newton got mowed down they got hammered In the ground and outside . charlton have always had a element and can more than hold there own but the thing with millwall is all of their fans are human filth so have no shame in acting up .

Oh I know we have an element Terry, like I have said I did see the old guard come out up at Carlisle but can't say that I have seen them on a regular basis. I hardly ever see Charlton in numbers home or away?

We've had plenty of good turnouts over the years Reams, Carlisle 2012 was not one of them (in my opinion), you've obviously missed the best ones mate!

Can't we ever move on from the morons who went to football in the 70s and 80s?

Does it really matter who can take on who in a fight? I thought the days of getting beaten up because of the football team you support were long over, it's quite immature to want violence, especially with so many children at the games. Charlton are first and foremost now a family club and I for one are proud of that, our supporters haven't changed they can still probably be a but handy, they've just grown up that's all.

I was a teenager in the 70s, and I was playing football Saturday and Sunday rather than going to games and picking fights. I'm not saying that all people who went to football in the 70s and 80s were morons, but a number were and I'm not sure why we are commemorating them as we seem to be. I like that fact that I took my kids to Charlton and didn't have a problem, and who knows may take my grand daughter one day. How it should be.

Hooligans are pathetic and Millwall fans are some of the most pathetic in the land. We should never try to compete with them on such a negative. Their fans (some not all of course) have done their club much damage.

Neanderthals the lot of you, eat some brain food and grow a cell or three.

Perhaps hide was the wrong word, I didn't mean it in the sense that they physically hid what I meant was don't come out and fill the home ends look intimidating and drown out their noise?

I thought their support was very quite on Saturday, apart from a couple of " nobody likes us " and a " you'll never beat us " at the end it was pretty subdued. In fact, their lack of voice prompted a " your not singing pikey scum " at one point. But I agree in one thing Reams, local darbys are not what they used to be and there does seem to be less passion about them. But I don't think that is necessarily us, more a general lethargy with footballs greed and its pre madonnas in general by many thousands of us.

Ticket prices these days means it's largely a different crowd who actually go to the games.

Ticket prices these days means it's largely a different crowd who actually go to the games. Aston Villa charged Southampton fans £41 tonight for a game like on Sky....Disgraceful.

In my relative old age I have learned that if you pick a fight with somebody you know you can beat, you are a bully and a coward. If you pick a fight with somebody you can’t, you are an idiot. I would say that it is best to be none of the above.

I remember going with my dad to a game at the valley in about 81 or 82,I was about 8 or 9.It was against Portsmouth and I think the score was 2-2.But I remember it kicking off and the Pompey fans climbing over the fence onto our terrace.I cant remember what started it or what the outcome was but I do remember being absolutely terrified and crying my eyes out!I,like many others, take my kids to games and I wouldn't want them to feel as scared as I did that day

Gladly most people go to watch the football than get caught up in the 70,s mentality of looking for trouble
