Literally - and I mean literally - every thread on ITTV seems to turn into a discussion about CL. Anyway, back to the subject. Hoddle's beliefs don't particularly worry me, I think he was fitted up by the media (happy to be proved wrong) but the amount of time he's been out of management at a decent level does. Apparently Jol is only 12/1 which is incredibly short given that there isn't actually a vacancy to fill at the moment. Agreed. I re-read what Hoddle actually said yesterday, they were the typical comments of a middle aged bloke who had just discovered religion late in life and appeared to be having some sort of middle aged crisis. laughable superstitious mumbo jumbo.

I wouldn't pay any attention to the odds, if the bookies thought anything was going on they would all be offering odds. At the moment it's only bet victor with quite frankly a random selection of candidates that looks like they put a load of names in hat & drawn them out, Robbie Fowler is on there for god sake!

What a change that would be!
From a totally tactically inept manager to one that has proven he can cut it with the best. Agree he has been out of the game for a long time, but he hasn't been away from football.

They put all the candidates name in a hat...... Does that mean Dunne & Co. are in with a chance......

Serious answer: I was trying to save kentaddicks arse because he used the word retards. I worded my post wrong which made me look like a dickhead but I changed it within seconds. Henry posted as I was editing so many were confused. ps. I have cell damage from pneumonia many years ago which has seriously effected my reading and writing skills. Because of this my gf usually checks what I write, but she wasn't about on this occasion. The fact that I edited my own post within seconds because it looked offensive hopefully suggests that I'm not a bad person. It is true that I raise money for DS and am willing to show you proof of this. I think I got banned because Henry was leaping on nearly every one of my posts but I was ignoring him. AFKA to his credit left my "Olive branch" post up for Henry to reply to. Unfortunately Henry then descended into telling other members not to talk to me because I was a troll, and unbelievably a few members done what he told them. I think AFKA banned me to protect Henry from himself, and as I've said before that is a big sacrifice and Ben should appreciate what a faithful friend Dan has been and still is. ps. my post wasnt related to DS children...Henry invented that, mainly because he's a fucking liar and always has been. pps. The CL mods also did a very clever and selective job of removing Henry's manic rantings from that thread to make me look bad....Unfortunately for them nobody on CL can ever remember an abusive post from my good self. Seems genuine to me offit shame Ben Hayes cannot be man enough to face up to what kind of bloke he is. send him my way , my daughter has DS, more than happy to "meet" him to have a little chat ! phone number available by PM BTW, the use of "retard" is pretty common in the States, there is a big campaign to highlight the fact that the word is offensive to disabled adults, children and parents. If I used the word "Nigger" I'm sure Id be chased out of town as racist, so why is it acceptable to offend me and 1000's of other parents by using the word "retard" !!!

Anoouncement imminent apparently, not on a replacement for Powell but a director of football over him. Perfect job for Hoddle, if it turns out to be him, and Powell wouild benefit from an older and wiser head to prevent some of the more naive tactical mistakes?

We don't require a highly paid hasbeen, over the hill footballer, as Director of Football, we need his wages to form part of a transfer fund to help stabalise the club in the Championship.

Probably important to get the management structure right first so that the right players are identified and recruited. Whether that means Hoddle or someone else, I don't know. Buit if Roly D doesn't trust the current set-up not to spunk his money up the wall on the wrong players, I can perfectly understand where he is coming from.

Can we start a rumour that reams is going to be the new director of football - just to enjoy the rapturous reaction of his many fans on CL?

Good call. All good things need solid foundations. I feel we have enough about us to survive in the Championship this season. Then we can take stock in the summer and hopefully build on what we have. RD certainly won't to fire money at it and fall through the trapdoor so it's solid foundations first for me.
