I don't think Chris Powell is the messiah. I don't think Chris Powell is the best manager in our League.
However, I do think Chris Powell is the right man for the job in our current position. Sure, he has made mistakes and I'm sure he'll make some more - but all the time he's learning, gaining more experience and is providing the much needed continuity that this Club needs.
He's passionate about CAFC and desperately wants to succeed. He's trying to do that as best as he can within the financial constraints that are tying his hands. I struggle to think of any (realistic) Manager who would come here and deal with the situation with any significant difference.
He also needs some luck - to lose three of our five most influential players to injury so early in the season has not helped his cause.
And most of all, I believe he needs the support of us, the fans, in helping to drive this Club forward. At least until there is some kind of certainty as to our ownership.

But we have more certainty re our owners compared to others! They keep on subsiding our shortfall and paying the Academy bills whilst the likes of Brum have run out of cash and future funding of their deficit (Zigic on £60k a week) as their owner Carson Yeung rots in prison on charges of money laundering and lord knows what else!!

Comparing us with the basket case that is Birmingham City, is hardly a sign of stability.
