Has weakened us at the back, replacing him with Richard Wood was just an act of bringing in one defender who won't play for another that Powell also deemed not good enough......what's the point?
Surely if you release a non playing defender you should want to bring in a replacement who will play if you don't you may as well keep what you have and in our case Matt Taylor is twice the defender Morrison is yet not only does he play but he is now also vice captain!.
Powell has brought in Wood for the sake of it just to make the numbers up, there might be no money but there is clearly no imagination either and no after thought.

I must admit that was a baffling decision, is Wood ever going to play?

He was right to want first team football given who was playing ahead of him though Korky.
Taylor was not vice captain because of his looks he was identified as a leader and rightly so in terms of being the last line of defence, you would want him next to you in the trenches because he puts his body in the way of everything which is more than you can say for the three ballerinas who played at the back yesterday, at least Solly gave it ago but it's difficult being asked to play RB and RM because Pritchard is not up to it.
The back four this season should have been built around Matt Taylor just as Huddersfield's is built around Peter Clarke but instead Powell saw something more in Morrison, just what that is I don't know he is a liability something you could never accuse Taylor of being.

Korky, Taylor's contract Was not renewed. In fact he was not even offered a lower salary, he was simply told he was surplus to requirements. Source, Matt Taylor himself.

Never believe the local press indeed. Matt was gutted, he didn't want to go anywhere but had no choice. Shame because I thought he did very well for us during his time with us
